I’m very happy to share that the next novel in The Anderssons series, To Choose Love, is now available for preorder.
This fourth instalment in the series takes readers back to the winter landscape of Finnish Lapland, where the long Arctic nights, the glow of the Northern Lights, and the quiet beauty of the snow-covered fells provide the backdrop for a new love story.
At the heart of the novel are Samu Andersson and Ida Beckett.
Samu travels north from Tampere carrying a promise he made to his dying mother. Determined to confront his uncle Erik about a controversial hotel development that threatens the fragile Lapland landscape she loved, Samu expects a difficult family confrontation — not a life-changing encounter.
Ida Beckett has come to Lapland as part of a climate research internship. She is documenting environmental changes in the Arctic and quietly building a relationship with the father she has only recently found. Her future already seems mapped out for her, but Ida is beginning to wonder whether the path others have chosen for her is truly the one she wants.
When Samu and Ida meet beneath the winter sky and the shimmering Northern Lights, neither realises that their families stand on opposite sides of the same bitter conflict.
By the time they discover the truth, the connection between them has already begun to change both their lives.
To Choose Love is a slow-burn romance about grief, belonging, family loyalty, and the courage it takes to build a life that is truly your own.
Like the other novels in The Anderssons series, the story is set in the beautiful village of Äkäslompolo in Finnish Lapland, a place that continues to inspire many of the stories I write.
