Bringing Book 3 Forward: To Risk It All (The Anderssons)
Share
I’m thrilled to share some good news from Lapland: I’m bringing the release of Book 3 in The Anderssons series, To Risk It All, forward to the end of November 2025—a full six months earlier than originally planned.
Why the change? I was so inspired by Elsa and Victor’s story in To Love Again that I ended up writing both books simultaneously. Lily and Joak kept talking to me while I was polishing Book 2, and their autumn-in-Lapland love story demanded to be told sooner.
Series note: Each book in The Anderssons can be enjoyed as a standalone romance, with a complete story and a satisfying ending. Reading in order will deepen the family threads, but it isn’t required.
The story (blurb)
She wants to save the festival. He wants to save the forest. Can they risk their hearts — and find a way to save both?
After a bruising academic setback, Lily Wootton escapes London for Lapland’s ruska season, hoping to help her sister Kat and clear her head. Instead, she’s swept into organising the village’s most important community event just as its main sponsor pulls out—jeopardising months of work and livelihoods across Ylläs.
The new coordinator? Joak Lindström, the uncompromising environmentalist Lily never expected to see again after their unforgettable night at Kat and Mikael’s wedding. Joak has built the festival to unite the community and champion sustainable, locally led traditions. When emergency money arrives from the one source he can’t accept, Andersson Mining, principles collide with reality, and their rekindled attraction becomes impossible to ignore.
As birch and aspen blaze gold and copper and the first snow threatens, Lily and Joak must navigate small-town politics, Sami and settler histories, and the thin line between purity and pragmatism. Under the starry skies, they learn that love isn’t about agreeing on everything — it’s about growing together, and daring to build something better than either could alone.
Expect slow-burn chemistry, rich Lapland atmosphere, festival bustle (cloudberry jam, reindeer sausages, hand-knits), and that Andersson family tangle you love: loyalty, secrets, and second chances with real stakes.
Where it sits in the series
- Book 1 – To Melt a Frozen Heart: Kat & Mikael, healing and hope in deep winter.
- Book 2 – To Love Again: Elsa & Victor, reconciliation and forgiveness.
- Book 3 – To Risk It All: Lily & Joak, community, compromise, and a love that forces both to change.
